About ibogaine
Ibogaine is a compound derived from the iboga shrub of West Central Africa. It has been used traditionally in ceremony, and in more recent decades it has been studied for its effect on opioid withdrawal and dependence. It is a serious intervention, not a casual one, and it is not appropriate for everyone.

A conversation about your history, followed by medical screening — heart, liver, and a full review of current medications.

Time to taper where needed, arrange support at home, and set realistic expectations for what treatment can and cannot do.

Carried out in a monitored setting with trained staff present. Rest and observation continue well beyond the session itself.

Follow-up, counselling and community support in the weeks that follow, which is where lasting change is won or lost.
Risk disclosure
Cardiac risk is why supervision is not optional.
Ibogaine prolongs the QT interval and has been associated with fatal arrhythmia. Responsible practice means an ECG and cardiac assessment, liver function testing, a careful medication review, and continuous monitoring during treatment. Some people should not take it at all. Anyone who offers it without screening first is not offering it safely. Evidence from carefully monitored research supports medical settings—not unsupervised use.
